Brenda drifts the Goulburn River, a beautiful 2 hr drive from Melbourne in her custom Montana drift boat, “The Mae Fly” fondly known as Mae.
Mae is a new style low sided drift boat skiff custom designed and imported from Adipose Boatworks of Helena Montana, USA. Mae is extremely stable, comfy and easier to enter and exit for clients than a traditional drift boat.
Why Mae? When I was a little girl, I loved fishing more than anything and would beg my folks to take me to the park to fish every chance I got. Knowing and sharing my love for fishing, my Primary school teacher Mae Reeves was the first person to ever take me fishing. So, I named my beloved boat Mae in honour of a beloved teacher and mentor.
Brenda completed the Reel Women Fly Fishing Guide School in 2016. She is a Coxswain 3 licensed operator, and The Mae Fly carries a certificate of operation recognised by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority. Brenda has completed Swift water Rescue training. Her rowing experience includes trips daily trips on the Goulburn River in Victoria, the Madison, Green and Flathead rivers in the United States.

Brenda has been fishing all over Victoria and the world for the last twenty-five years. You can choose a remote bush experience up in the high country or a gentle stream side walk on a range of streams stalking trout.
We can arrange a trip on any of our local streams or a bit further afield if you feel adventurous. Streams include the Acheron, Big River, Goulburn, Howqua, Jamieson, Rubicon, Stevenson, or Taponga Rivers.

Not included are licenses. You can purchase a License on line at Vic Fisheries (Click here to buy) the address below or at your local tackle store.
Women’s ORVIS Waders and boots are available in a limited range of sizes for ladies since we have less choice for renting gear, Rods and reels are available on request. We can provide quality ORVIS equipment for any trip. Please let us know if you need a rod or other equipment. A breakage fee will apply.
